Good and Bad Points

Well I charged up Rexi at home last night. With the charge point on the car where your petrol cap would be, I had to reverse in to the driveway as the cable wouldn’t reach front facing.

Zoe charge flap is at the front of the car. You open the i3 charge flap just like you would a petrol flap.

Actually found this a lot easier to plug in than Zoe. With Zoe, you have to unlock the flap either with your key or a button in the car. Zoe’s cable seems to lock to the car but doesn’t in the i3.

Car saying 127 miles range electric and 71 miles petrol. So much more than Zoe even without the range extender.

Next talking point is the doors. Yes they do look really cool. I took the kids to the supermarket, but never thought it through when parking.

Not very handy for getting the wee man out the back because of the car parked next to us.

Maybe a family space would be better, but think my kids maybe a bit old at nearly 9 and 12 to be parking in one?

The boot isn’t huge. But I quite like how it’s waist height, handy for shopping and stuff. Not great for dogs (although they not be trying it out).

The inside is what you would expect from a BMW. Very luxurious. Beautiful dash and different coloured leather. The controls for driving etc is on the ride stalk of the steering wheel. There isn’t a handbreak like in normal cars. It’s a button that you push up/down. Pretty cool! The sat nav etc is controlled by buttons down the side between the front seats. Where your handbreak would normally be. Means your touchscreen doesn’t get fingerprints on it 😀
